Rev. Bob Costello, Senior Pastor

Rev. Bob Costello

Rev. Robert E. Costello was the Gateway South District Superintendent and is now serving as the Senior Pastor of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church. He is known as “Bob” to most people.

Prior to being appointed to the Gateway South District, Bob served in the Greater NJ Conference for five years as the District Superintendent of the Gateway North District and for the previous three years as the Coordinator of Stewardship Education and Development.

Rev. Costello began his service as a local church pastor in New Jersey. He served in that role for 24 years, then he was appointed to extension ministry.  Bob has also been the President of Alpha Christian Travel Services, and as such has traveled to 42 countries. His hobbies have focused on travel, sports officiating and family. He is married to Marjorie, a former teacher.

Rev. Costello has BA, M.Div. and Juris Doctor degrees.  He is an ordained elder of the Greater NJ Annual Conference, and is a licensed attorney in NJ and PA. He has expressed happiness in getting to know the laity, staff and clergy of HUMC, as he administers the church and leads us forward in ministry.
